Breaking the Stigma Surrounding Borderline Personality Disorder

The National Alliance on mental Health breaks the silence to discuss how personality disorders are misunderstood by society and stigmatized by mental health practitioners. Sansone & Sansone (2013) explore how various mental health practitioners respond to Boderline Personality Disorder (BPD) patients and provide recommendations how to break the stigma within our own field.


In addition, an open article with a similar focus written by Cameron Hancock (2017) explores this stigma by health practitioners towards patients with BPD.
