Creating music can help calm symptoms of PTSD

Landis-Shack et al. (2017) investigate the effectiveness of music therapy on PTSD survivors by conducting a review of empirically supported studies. It was shown that music therapy can reduce cortisol levels, increase dopamine, decrease symptoms of reactivity and arousal, and foster connectedness to one's community.
